Overview:

With the rising demand for safety and entertainment features, connectivity penetration in automotive segment is increasing. At the end of 2021, connected car installed base reached 16% of total passenger car installed base. This report helps in understanding evolution of cellular technologies in the automotive industry and how chipset players are playing a pivotal role in connectivity adoption. 5G is still in the nascent stage for this industry and 4G is dominating this space. We are considering passenger cars only for this study. Commercial vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers are not taken into account here.
