Overview:
Verizon remains the largest US carrier with 90 million consumer postpaid connections, 26 million wireless business subscribers, and four million wireless prepaid subscribers. Verizon has divested most of its major media assets---a costly mistake. Much needed mid-band assets will not be ready until 2022. But, there are bright spots. The operator has the most business subscribers. Fixed wireless services will add incremental revenue. And, there is a long runway of subscribers to convert onto its 5G network.
This report analyzes Verizon's first quarter performance, its 5G network rollout, and its outlook for 2021.
