Overview:

President Biden announced his long-awaited infrastructure package back in March. Included in this massive investment is over $100 billion to achieve 'broadband for all'. As admirable of a goal as this is, Biden's plan offered little detail in terms of how this would be achieved. This report assesses the current home internet environment and makes suggestions for how the Biden administration should move forward with its investment plan at a time when home internet service is seeing new entrants and potential competition for incumbents.
