Overview:
India’s smartphone shipments in October declined 8% MoM and 4% YoY. The decline was on expected lines as the festive season shipments peaked in mid Oct. According to our latest forecast, we believe the India smartphone market will cross 169 million units in 2021. High replacement demand as well as increased consumer spending will drive the shipments.
The share of Online channel was 51% in Oct 2021, down from 56% in Sep 2021 and 55% in Oct 2020. We believe that in 2021 online channel share will be around 48% due to pandemic induced trends.
