Overview:
Both Ericsson and Nokia reported good top-line growth in revenues in 1Q 2022 but will face headwinds during the remainder of 2022 due to a continuation of last year’s supply chain issues, inflationary pressures plus geo-political problems in Russia and Ukraine. However, there are encouraging signs that R&D investments in new services will start to come to fruition during 2022 with the commercial launch of a range of ARPU-boosting services leveraging CSPs recent investments in 5G SA core plus accelerating enterprise revenues.
This report provides a back-to-back review of Ericsson and Nokia’s recent first quarter 2022 results and provides a detailed insight into the business units of the two vendors. In addition, the report reviews selected announcements made during the quarter, with analysis and comment on the strategic significance of these announcements for the vendors and the industry in general.
