Australia FWA and CPE Ecosystem Analysis and Forecast

Sep 15, 2022 | Author : Parv Sharma, Tina Lu

Overview:

Australia has one national fibre network, The National Broadband Network (NBN). It is a mix of government and private-party investment, and most carriers just market and sell the service.  FTTH fibre-to-the-home penetration is still low; most of it is still fibre to the node or cabinet. FTTH is expected to increase, but the vastness of the Australian land will force it to be slow and costly. 5G FWA would certainly drive the growth of higher speed in the last-mile connection. But 5G coverage is still limited.

This report provides actuals and outlook till 2027 on the 4G and 5G FWA subscribers and FWA-CPE unit sales. It also includes top selling FWA-CPE models and a forecast on its ASP in Australia. It analyses the fixed broadband market by technology and operator's (Telstra, TPG, Optus, among others) performance and strategies.
