Overview:
India is one of the fastest-growing mobile markets with subscribers clocking over a billion in number. India underwent a rapid 2G revolution during the initial years of 2010-2020 decade. However, in 2016, after the entry of Reliance Jio in Indian telecom space, 4G adoption increased exponentially. The availability of affordable smartphones also played a part in accelerating this trend. The Indian government has planned to start 5G trials by mid to end of September 2019.
This report details the subscribers base of top telecom operators in India and gives a technology split. It has the data from 2010 and gives a forecast until 2025. Qualitative Analysis and Visualizations are added to better understand the data.
