This report from Counterpoint’s Market Monitor service highlights the regional revenues and ASPs for 42 brands in the smartphone segment. These 42 brands together now capture over 95% of the total market by revenues.

Summary:

• Global smartphone market wholesale revenues declined 10% YoY during the third quarter of 2021.
• Apple captured 37% of overall smartphone revenue in Q3 2021 as compared with 30% in Q3 2020.
• Among regions, China led the revenue share (27%) driven by strong 5G smartphone penetration. In Q3 2021, China accounted for 43% of the 5G smartphone shipment.
• Samsung's revenue grew 36% QoQ as the impact of Covid-induced lockdown on its shipment capacity lessened in the third quarter compared with Q2 2021.
