Overview:

The global smartwatch market rose 27% YoY but declined 8% QoQ in Q2 2021. Since it is a market dominated by Apple, seasonality has a strong role. While Apple’s dominance continued, its share declined 2% points YoY with intensifying competition in the growing market.

As new smartwatches from Apple and Samsung are scheduled to be released sequentially, the smartphone market in the second half of the year is also expected to maintain double-digit growth compared to the same period last year.
